Boselli OS — QuickBooks Integration
A private accounting tool operated by The Boselli Foundation.
What this is
Boselli OS is internal software used by The Boselli Foundation to track its own cash position. It connects to a single QuickBooks Online company — the Foundation's — and reads accounting reports so that routine financial reporting can run automatically.
com.intuit.quickbooks.accounting scope. It cannot create,
change, or delete anything in QuickBooks, and it holds no payroll or
payments permissions, so it cannot move money.
It is not offered to the public and cannot be installed by anyone else. There is no sign-up, and no account to create.
Connecting or reconnecting
Authorisation is performed once by a Foundation officer, directly against Intuit, from a Foundation-controlled computer:
- Sign in to the Intuit account with access to the Foundation's books.
- Run the integration's authorisation step on that computer.
- Approve the connection and select The Boselli Foundation.
Intuit re-authorisation is required roughly every 100 days, because Intuit expires the underlying credential on that schedule whether or not it is used. The same steps apply when reconnecting.
Disconnecting
Access can be revoked at any time, by the Foundation, without involving this software:
- Sign in to QuickBooks Online as an administrator.
- Open Settings → Apps (or the Intuit account's connected-apps list).
- Find Boselli OS and choose Disconnect.
Revocation takes effect immediately. The stored credential stops working at once, and the integration can read nothing further. Any local report snapshots already saved remain on the Foundation's own computer and can be deleted there.
Data handling
- Reads company profile and financial reports — balance sheet, profit and loss, statement of cash flows, and receivable/payable ageing.
- Stores its credential and report snapshots as files on a computer the Foundation controls. Nothing is kept on a third-party server.
- Data is never sold, rented, shared with advertisers or data brokers, or used to train machine-learning models.
- Access is limited to Foundation officers and staff with a legitimate need.
Output from this tool is internal convenience reporting. The Foundation's records in QuickBooks, as maintained and reviewed by its accountants, remain authoritative.
